Dr. Erklenz-Watts earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction and Change in 2000 from the University of Rochester.  Her undergraduate studies included Bachelor of Arts degrees in elementary education and psychology at Nazareth College of Rochester in 1989.   She earned her Masters in General Education a year later from the same institution.

Dr. Erklenz-Watts joined the SJFC School of Education full time in September, 1999.  Previously she worked as a Special Education Teacher in the Rochester City School District from 1990-1999 and as a Neuropsychometrist with Brain Injury Consultants from 1990-1998.

Dr. Erklenz-Watts is currently the Chair of the Undergraduate Childhood Education Department and Director of the Graduate Childhood Education Program.  She also serves on several committees across the campus to support the School’s and College’s mission of Social Justice.
