Communication/Journalism 468 Advanced Web Design

The course will cover advanced topics in web design, including exploring contemporary design styles, designing for mobile devices and print, incorporating Web 2.0 sites within web pages, designing interactivity with Javascript and Dreamweaver Behaviors, and implementing complex visual effects. Students will also learn Flash and Actionscript 3.0 in order to create online multimedia. The course will collaborate with the advanced journalism class (COMM 302) to create a multimedia news site.
