Gloria Jacobs is an Assistant Professor in the Literacy Department of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.  She earned her Ph.D. in Teaching, Curriculum, and Change at the University of Rochester, Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development.  She has presented at national and international conferences such as the National Council of Teachers of English, National Council of Teachers of English Assembly for Research (NCTEAR), American Educational Research Association (AERA), and Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR).

Dr. Jacobs' research focuses on adolescent use of digital literacies and how we can use student knowledge of literacy practices outside of school to inform the literacy learning that goes on inside of school.
This current research is made possible in part by a grant from the Spencer Foundation. The views expressed are those of Dr. Jacobs and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Spencer Foundation.
